Default Replacing Motor for Power Window

I need to replace a power window motor on my 76 GP. The glass is stuck in the low position. Before rolling up the window I need to replace the "fuzzie", glass channel weather strip.

The problem is I can't move the window an inch. It seems to be locked in place by the dead motor.

The Fischer body manual instructs to roll up the window before replacing the motor. How can I do that when the motor doesn't work?

Thanks for any help.
/Hans
