Been discussing this seemingly innocuous item in the '64 A body forum.
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...=1#post5736865 Coming across a number of variations. Some seem to have a straight leg, some seem to have a curve or bend in the leg. Some have a shallow groove in the top of the hook, others have a deep groove, while some may have no groove at all. Decided to check with anybody here that has an original engine that thinks they can say whether or not their heater hose bracket was originally painted Pontiac Engine Blue. Would like to know where and when the car was built, painted or natural (presumed plated), and style of groove in the hook (pix would be useful to show this). What do you guys say? Post here or better yet, in the thread linked here so everybody can learn. Thanks. |
