With your use of a hydraulic flat tappet cam it is not necessary no matter the horsepower level, it's not a roller cam and certianly not enough spring pressure involved. Go back and read my post about 'Roller Pressure Angle' and do additional research on the subject. But if it gives you a warm cozy feeling go ahead.
