Default 67' Clutch spring and steering nuts.

Does this setup for the clutch return spring look right? It doesn't seem to add anything. The clutch pedal feels the same.

Also,
How tight do you make the nut/washer/steering box shaft pitman arm?

How tight to make the pitman arm to steering center "rack"? Is there just the castle nut or should there be a washer between the nut and the arm?
