My search started over a year ago to find the vin on my 73 Trans Am I had from 1975 to 1977. As some of you will recall, I posted on here for suggestions. Many of you came up with some great tips. I pursued all suggestions but 40+ years had erased those records and many of the people involved with the car. My son suggested State of Texas open records. I contacted them but they were not able to help as their record span is only about 10 years as they constantly purge their system to make room for all of the new vehicles. They did sent me a list of companies that buy their purged information. I found a great guy that was willing to give it a shot. He had started his business in 1989 and routinely helps police and Crime Stoppers with information. Much to my surprise, he was able to give me the vin on my car since I knew the license plate number. I am attaching a copy of the PHS. I am currently having Mike Noun make a window sticker as well. Contrary to my original thoughts, my car was a late build. I know later build cars changed the headliner and the emission system. What else changed during the production year? Enjoy the PHS!
