Default Pontiac oil tech 1931

Thought I'd share a picture of the inside of a Pontiac 6 cylinder circa 1931...
Noteworthy approach to oiling.
First off the oil pump is submerged in the bottom of the pan. Oil gets plumbed to filter mains and cam.

The pan is baffled around the pump and a windage tray is part of the pan baffling.

Not many vehicles this vintage had this level of tech. As late as the 50's some were still dip n splash(Chev 6)!!!

Friday I'll try to post the oil lines that feed the main bearings.
They did a nice job on windage, drain back, and slosh.
