Someone mentioned Tire Rack earlier and I feel compelled to mention that I buy almost all of my tires from them.
They partner with tire shops so you can have the tires shipped directly to the shop and installed there. I've done this a couple times. The shop calls me when the tires come in and I go in and get them put on. That way I get exactly the tires I want and it's cheaper than buying them at local retail shops. If there is not a partner shop near you then just have the tires delivered to your residence and take them to whatever shop you normally use. I can't help much with tire brands for trucks. I've always run BFG All-terrains on my trucks and been very happy with them.
