Over the years there’s been questions on how to pull a dash out of a ’70-2 A-body (LeMans/GTO).
PB posted a while ago in a thread here about a ’72 dash removal. www.forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=521401 I’ve modified it for a ’70 w/o A/C with pictures. Vehicle was built in June at the Pontiac plant. Step 1 – Make sure battery is disconnected whenever working around electrical wiring. On each outer corner of the dash, seen from the underneath, there is a bolt w/captive washer. Remove these using a 1/2" socket. Step 2 - Open the glove box door and remove the eight phillips head screws and remove liner. Door is held in by two more screws and a rubber stopper on the hinge arm, remove all to extract door.
