Drug this 69 Mustang home from the back woods of Maine. Couldn't pass up the deal.
It has a 302 with a C4 auto and a 9 inch rear, with a Hampton 6-71 blower on it. The car was drag raced in the 1/8 mile back in the 80s, and held some track record at a little track in Maine. I believe the seller said it ran 90mph in the 1/8, which back in the 80's wasn't terrible. It's going nowhere in a hurry now. I've already hacked off the rear flares, which were made out of thin sheet metal and probably two gallons of fiberglass reinforced body filler. They had to weigh 30lbs a piece, not joking. So far the only real rot is the two front floors, and the lower quarters. I'll end up doing entire quarter skins as they really hacked the wheel openings up doing those flares. The pics are at the previous owners house, where the car sat for a longgg time. If anybody is interested, I'll post more pics as progress is made. What about you guys, got any cool Fords you're building? ![]()
