75 400 block without a windage tray

I'm having my engine rebuilt for my NO block (XC) in my 75 Trans Am. The block is a 75 and din't come with a windage tray. I bought one from Butler and it didn't fit and after talking to them, they said 40% of post 75 400 blocks didn't come with a windage tray.

Should I not worry about it and build it without one?

Or should I modify one to fit?

Appreciate any input.
