Dumb question of the day

I should know the answer to this but I don’t. What are the correct valve covers on a 71 Formula400? Chrome or Painted? Had aftermarket ones when I bought it. I had factory style chrome valve covers from a 76 TA when I was driving the car. Now it’s being restored so I’d like it to look stock.
