Here's something that is in a storage shed of a house my son is moving into. My research proves it to be a grain scale that was commonly used in the old mercantile stores of the era. It looks like it retains all of the weight discs and even the original square head fasteners that hold it together.
It was pretty dirty before I brushed the bottom of my shoe across it to reveal the dates. |
