To answer your question Doc they had a "Save Pay" program so I was getting the higher of the two pay checks which was Master Chief at the time. I started making more $$$ when I made 03- Lieutenant.
Trust me Mustang Officers don't take any crap from the OCS Officers or the "Ring Knockers" (Naval Academy Grads)
