Default Overdrive Trans for 67 Le Mans

I've finally started on my 67 Le Mans. I'm trying to decide what to do about the transmission. The car has a 67 GTO drive train, so I have T400 now, but I'd like to have an overdrive.

I'm thinking of going with a 200R4 and I'm looking at Extreme Automatics
Level 3 (1000hp/750tq).

What' I'm having trouble with is I'm in Southern California and Extreme Automatics is in Ohio.

From what I read on-line they have a pretty good reputation, but if I have a problem that's a long way away.

I last experience with a local I won't name, happened at start-up when the trans was new checking line pressures. I had to pull the trans and take it back for repairs. (something in the valve body they said).

Is there an opinion on buying local? Any recommendations for a trans builder in SoCal?

Thanks for any info.
