Would agree, absolutely hideous appearance wise with the fabric roof up, not that great with it down. 2nd Gens had poor enough body structure rigidity with t-tops...

At least one '80 or 81 Esprit convert ended up in the Nichols Hills area of N OKC. Remember seeing it around, then ck'ing it out in a showcased area as a used car on N May in front of the Buick dealership. Grand Nationals were out, but not yet the intercooled ones. Fun times for a few years picking on the 5.0's & GN's, then all the performance modded GN's & Fox bodies happened.
