IA2 Aluminum 535 Main Bearings

I had a 535 all aluminum block built. IA2
And after 12 passes I spun a rod bearing.
I have been told that a lot of you guys are opening up the Main journals and doing work to the bearings themselves? Has anyone not done this and was successful? Looking for info on what I should do.

If not I’m selling it and building a new one.
