Vacuum Advance, as explained to me, can be a benefit for Fuel Economy.
If you are running a good Mechanical Advance curve in your distributor and not really concerned about that extra fuel mileage, do not see the need to have it installed. Course the mechanical advance should be correct for your engine timing. Tom V.
