searching for my old 1961 Bonneville 2 door hardtop: SN 861K5051
I built this car back in2005-2006. Sold it in 2007 (big mistake). The purchaser (in Vermont) repainted the car (was originally Polar White and was repainted a medium blue). It had the original tri-blue interior (bench seat) and correct tachometer and vacuum gauges installed in correct locations.
He later sold the car to someone else in Syracuse, NY. I hit a dead-end there .
I built a 455 engine by modifying a 400 from a 1970 GTO and used a built 200-4R auto with a lock-up converter. Carburation was an Offenhauser single plane intake with two Carter AFB carbs. If you go to shows and/or cruise-ins, please keep an eye out. The engine may have Edelbrock aluminum heads at this time.
