Default Exhaust idle notes

Thought this might be helpful to those contemplating exhaust set up. My cars evolution.


Initial set up. ram air manifolds, 2.25 pipe, rattler mufflers. Tail pipes out rear. 60916 crower cam and 421 ho heads

Initial upgrade. Ram air manifolds, 2.25 pipes, dynomax ultraflows. Tail pipes side exhaust. Crower 60919 and kre d port heads.

Puttsing around the new exhaust is much deeper sounding and you can hear the cam
More at idle.

While there are some other winter upgrades making it hard to isolate- the car is running a lot faster with the new exhaust set up. I was torn in doing it- read a lot about headers vs rar manifolds. I had mandrel turn downs with the 2.25 too. But no question the new exhaust set up was worth it.
