Default Cam for 70 GTO 4 speed

I bought a Mint Turquoise original WT 4 speed 70 GTO back in 2012. It was a one owner car for the majority of its life. A guy in California bought it and spent a bunch of money on it that it probably didn’t need. He rebuilt the motor and installed a Comp Cams 255 Dual Energy cam in it. I kept the car for 10 years and sold it to my buddy about 18 months ago. I always wanted to change the cam and put ram air and ram air exhaust manifolds on the car. I bought the car back and called Ames about the ram air manifolds. They said they should have them in 4-6 weeks. I am thinking about using an 068 or a Summit 224/234 cam in it. I had the Summit cam in a 69 GTO with a stall converter and it was one of the hardest running Pontiacs I ever had. The 255 Dual Energy cam has a lot of low end but it runs out of breath. It has no top end. It is basically a tractor engine. What do you recommend? It has 3.23 rear gears and AC. Also where can I buy the good Johnson lifters?
