All depends on the combination for sure. My 470/409 made the same with 1.7s as with 1.8s. Also no more with 750 cfm dual quads vs 600s.
My pump gas 455 in my 78 made more with every increase in ratio-Ultradyne 239.247 on a 112. About a 5 -8 hp bump 1.5-1.65 HS(actually with "real springs" measured 1.72) and then Crower 1.8s on the intake(the SS were too expensive for a full set. We did not make a real pull with the 1.33 break in rockers.
