Keep in mind that these cars ran hot in hot weather when they were new. And a convertible is far more enjoyable driving with the top down in the cooler weather. :-)

Also, many people overfill these vertical flow radiators and they will spit out coolant when overfilled. The proper coolant level should be just barely over the flow tubes and not up to the cap.

That sure is a beautiful car! One of my favorite '66 color combos. I would love to see some better quality high resolution photos of all around the car sometime if you have the ability to post them to an offsite photo source like Google Photos.
