Now, I have only had non-recessed wiper cars;
Although recessed wipers were optional for base & Formula models, they only came standard with the Esprit and Trans Am models.

My wiper blades are the OEM trico blades in the original brushed metal housings;
Mine measure in at roughly 18"

I do believe that if you have removed your wiper arms at any time, they need to be reinstalled with the arms at the "rest" position - I have understood that people have messed their situation up by re-installing arms with the armature(?) not in the "rest" position - or by trying to set down the arm to make a non-recessed wiper appear to be a recessed wiper.
You migth be on to something here, I know i said in my original post that i changed wiper arms, that was a brain fart, i ment wiper blades. But i did remove just the drivers side wiper arm and reclocked it but not the passenger arm to help aliviate the drivers side blade hitting the trim on the windshield. And that side is laying down harder on the stop than the passengerside, in my mind that did not matter as i loosend the tension on crankarm adhustment.
I will try to reclock the drivers side wiper arm Tomorrow so that both have the same pressure agains the stop location.
Oh and i did take care to make the motor go into park position when i bench tested it before i put it in the car so everything would line up.
