I did a quick search on the topic, and the latest responses are from 2021 ?
I have an original AM/FM Delco radio in my 71 GP that was upgraded in 2017 by Gary Tayman down in Florida. He did the Aurora Designs FMR-2 conversion. but I went cheap and left off the Bluetooth option. Could always add Bluetooth now, but I was never crazy about the sound the radio produced, Only slightly better than stock. They now have better EQ controls, but a full rebuild to the latest version may be required and thus cost prohibitive. I'll call and find out. Flash forward to 2024 and would like to get something with good sound and Bluetooth that will fit the stock uncut dash opening. The Custom Autosound 740 and 850 have the right look and seemingly better Tone control options. I've read that Retrosound units sound good, but can be tricky to install and usually require a little "tweaking" to get the right fit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
