NEED HELP- DO I NEED A NJ CLASS A OR CLASS B CDL
I've been looking into possibility of getting diesel pusher or a Super C to pull my 28-foot enclosed trailer.
So, the trailer is rated for 10K pounds. Obviously, a Super C or a diesel pusher is going to push the limits of what I will be legally able to drive with a regular NJ driver's license.
I was looking into getting a Class B CDL soley for my towing needs with the vehicles and trailer mentioned above. I WILL NOT be using this license for getting a job driving for anyone other than for my own personal purposes as mentioned here now.
The weight of both units combined will certainly be more than the 26,000-pound limit so I know I will need a CDL to keep me out of trouble with the law, but....
Do I need a Class A CDL because of the weight limit, plus pulling a trailer behind the drive vehicles I mentioned above or will a Class B CDL be enough.
My intentions are to drive to bracket racing events outside of NJ.
YOUR THOUGHTS AND/OR EXPERIENCES (GOOD OR BAD) WITH THIS ARE WELCOMED.
