This season has not gone very well. We made some changes to the car over the winter and I was hoping to improve on my best time. I didn't get the car to the track until June and could not make a full pass. The car was launching hard right. I did not get that issue figured out and before you knew it, we were at the Pontiac Nationals. I made two partial runs on Friday and parked the car as we did not have high gear. I got the transmission fixed and continued to adjust the car. I finally was able to make a full pass in September, but the car was still going right and I had to lift a little to get the car under control. After fighting this all year I decided to make a change in the four link. The result was my best ET of 8.44 @ 159 mph(I actually ran it twice that day). The car still went right a little, but I knew I was going in the right direction. I adjusted the pre load and took the car to the track a few days later and turned my best 60' of 1.20 twice. I did not improve on the ET as it ran an 8.45 and 8.46. The car also launched straight. The track then closed for the season, but I now have something to build on for next year. Double adjustable shocks will also be installed on the front this winter.
Here is a video of one of the 8.44 runs:
