Starting a thread for 1967 061 head combos. Which are a fairly unusually one year only head with a mix of features from 670 and later heads. I do not know much about them.
Here is the starting question pulled from another thread for a starting place to help Jeff out. ____________________________________. ![]() Can you point me in the right direction to help decide on the best cam for my engine build? I tried starting a new thread, but it wouldn't let me for some reason.. I have a 69 Firebird purchasedbin 2015.. It was a complete car, with a 400 in it... prior to purchasing the car, I bought a pulled 400 motor. Disassembled it and sent it out to be inspected, machined, balanced and readied for me to rebuild it. Right or wrong, I bought a pair of 061 Heads that were rebuilt, but never installed due to a family crisis.. this was 7 years ago. Now, my last kid has gone off to college and I want to resume what I started. I had previously purchased everything needed for the rebuild, other than the Cam and Lifter package.. Any thoughts on the best direction to head in with the 061 heads? All parts were oiled and wrapped and recently inspected with no issues. Thanks for any advice. Jeff Any input would be appreciated.[/QUOTE] |
