Getting another one on the road--'68, Muncie, 428 Stratobench Bird.
Car came with three "long" seatbelts with the custom stainless buckles. Tagged 45 C 67. Model 131. I believe these are for the rear. Can a more knowledgeable indians confirm or correct what I have cobbled together? I believe: Stratobenches (black or parchment) only had belts for two in the front. 1968 coupes had belts for three in the rear. Standard (black) or custom (stainless) buckles were available. Front belts used the retractors on the outsides. Rears had long belts. *Non-retractable shoulder belts for the front were only available in the standard buckles. * I am most unsure of this... Who makes/sells the most correct belts? All thoughts appreciated. Pictures of what you have cherished... Thanks, Mike |
