I purchased a set of Johnson Restricted Roller Lifters (JLI-2112OPR-16) on Butlers recommendation, along with a custom roller cam and springs.
After soaking the lifters in mineral spirits overnight, i manually pushed down on each plunger, but found that only 1 lifter had any movement at all. The other 15 act more like solid rollers. I expected there would be very little movement, but none at all seems unusual. Does this sound normal? My next step would seem to be to disassemble a couple for inspection, or have my machine shop test them. |
