What did I do? I think I broke my transmission.
The other day I needed to move my car a little bit in the garage. I reached in and disengaged the parking brake and then through the open window grabbed the shifter and put it in neutral without pushing in the clutch. I hear a bad clunk noise. The Shifter moved. It is not in neutral. Stuck in 1st gear. I opened the door, pushed in the clutch. Shifter will not move.
I pushed it out of the garage. Started it up and tried to shift when in motion. NOTHING! What did I do?? Looked under the car this morning. I need someone with me to stay in the car and try and shift the gears so I can look under the car to see what the problem is. I am a novice with transmission problems. Thanks guys.
