If it were mine, I would jack up the rear and use good jack stands or blocking and block front tires (safety first). Then check if all shifter arms on tranny can be put in nuetral. You might have to unhook linkage. Some shifters have a 1/4 inch hole to insert a 1/4 rod or drill bit to line up nuetral positions of all arms with shifter in nuetral.. You might google this procedure to get aquanted with the mechanics of how it works. As always some google sites are better than others. Good luck and let us know what you find.
