1981 Firebird in NY on Copart
Looks like a solid starting point, the auction says it is a V6 and the VIN says it was originally built with a Buick 3.8L V6. But it now has a 4-speed manual transmission. But as far as I know the only engine available with a 4-speed in 81 was the 305 SBC.
I don't see a distributor at the front of the engine, and the plug wires look like they are coming from the rear of the engine. But just about any engine could have been swapped in the last 50 years. The sites estimated value it over the top at over $50k but the current bid is $900 but it is a reserve auction. Could be a bargain for someone https://www.copart.com/lot/49288185/...d-ny-rochester
