Shifter knob - 1973

In a previous thread there was talk about jam nuts and shifter balls [ https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=881173 ].

I had to get the assembly manual out the other day and while looking thru it, I noticed there was no ball knob listed. Was mine replaced by the other owners [OG (deceased) or brother] and I'm suppose to have the 3 speed version of the 4 speed knob, which would explain jam nut?
