Hello everyone!
Been looking around and reading posts for a few weeks now, thought its about time I introduce myself. I picked up a '79 TA from a friend back in October here in Michigan. I don't know a lot about Pontiac. For the last 9 years I was building a '71 Buick GS and I just got it pretty much done...when some lady thought it was a good idea to make a left at the intersection when I had a green light. Totaled it. If anyone is interested in the aftermath I've been on V8 Buick for many years: https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?th...ess-gs.395487/ Yes repairable, and it was, just not by me. Made me sick to even look at it after all the work that went in. It has a new life in Tennessee and a good new owner. Anyways that chapter is done and I'm starting a new one. I look forward to learning as much as I can here. This is my first Pontiac and It's a blast to drive! Originally an automatic 403, was replaced with a 400 Pontiac, roller rockers with a Hurst Dual Gate shift 3speed Coan trans. with manual valve body. Frame is tied with Hotchkis, New urethane bushings, leaf springs, QA1 shocks, Coil springs, brake lines. Its a nice clean car. Pics out by Lake St. Clair ![]()
