All I'm saying is that modifying the flex plate and damper that were originally neutral means that they are no longer neutral and the whole point of neutral flex plates/flywheels and dampers is that they are replaceable if something happens to them. This doesn't work if they are modified. Therefore, weight adjustments during a balancing must be made on the crankshaft counterweights, regardless of whether you use an original flex plate or a neutral aftermarket flex plate. Drilling, cutting or welding the flex plate or damper afterwards is a sign that the balancing has failed.
