I have a 67' 4 DR HT Catalina with a 400 2bbl with 143 heads and single exh. I would like to put on some headers and dual exh, but there doesn't look like there is much room in the bay. Any suggestions? Thanks Brent

If it is column shift, I believe you have a problem. If not, Doug's headers makes an excellent set for big Pontiacs. They are quite expensive(over $400) With your combination, you may want to take that money and first put it into other power adders. For starters, I'd get a 4bbl intake/carb and convert to dual exhaust.

yes, The long branch manifolds. I'm not 100% sure they will clear your column shift linkage though. I would post an additional topic in the Fullsize tech forums.

I had a '67 Bonneville in high school. and we put a set of GTO headers on, with a few modifications.
We shimmed the motor up with a 3/8 in steel plate under the motor mount( just drill a large hole in the plate, slide it in, and bolt up the engine) We had to ding a couple of tubes in a few spots (can't rememeber where, long time ago!) These 2 mods gave enough clearence. I would suggest finding a junk set of GTO headers first, and giving it a try.
