I don't know about the myth thing it just sounds like the engineers were thinking of using the 455 ho intakes on the sd cars and then backed away from the idea. As long as you keep the original intake a 455 ho intake would be a great add on to a sd car and you can have what pontiac probably initially intended for the sd cars.
