How do you think he found Pete Seaton's Swiss Chees Catalina [I bought that from him,too] He had parts I had never seen before,like 1.75 ratio rockers.
I bought my Nascar Carter 3bl and manifold from him.I bought a NOS set of 980 heads from him,too.
These cars went thru many hands in a short time and travelled around quite abit. Yes,we even had trailers back then.
There were numerous, run what you brung, Super Stock meets going on at the time. In 1965,at US30 drag stip in Indiana,I saw some of the cream of the crop,including Mike's Catalina [called the Grey Ghost] and Eddie Shartman driving a Black 62 Chevy.
There was still a demand for these cars,even if they were no longer NHRA legal
