I was wandering around a salvage yard and saw several '60's era Pontiacs with transmissions. Wondering if someone could explain the differences in the TH400's that were produced and how to identify them.

I was thinking of using one for my '66 GTO. Is there one in particular I should look for that would work best for my application?
