Ya i did the same thing with my shroud, i drilled a hole at the bottom and put a long flat head srew down through the inside of the shroud and down into the frame rail. but it took the roundness out of the shroud and made it closer on one side, so i was done with that.. i took it out all togther and am just running a flex fan. i have a 3 " spacer to get it as close to the rad.
it alwyas runs 185 while moving creeps to 215 ish in stop and go, not too bad.... maybe a 18" fan would help too, but for now i need a break from that shroud....
