The problem I had with the short TBs was the throttle linkage interference with the air cleaner, otherwise I would've just added a spacer. Kinsler might be the outfit you're thinking of. They can convert just about anything. They have a picture of a Pontiac caliope setup in their catalogue - talk about retro look! J.
