what about the rumor of the 65 tripower intake? Would my 65 stuff work on a 66 intake? If so, is there any advantage to running a 65 vs. 66 intake? I have to think so, seeing how PMD would make such a "drastic" change between model years. With all the new stuff coming out, I am almost too reluctant to buy anything right now for fear of losing out on something even better to come out the next month. Always seems to be my luck-day late dollar short-you know?

It took over 15 months to get this 66 intake to
where they could ship some of them. The 66 intake has a larger flowing center carburetor vs your 1965 carburetor. The end carbs would interchange as would the whole 66 set-up on your 65 engine. My opinion is buy it while you can and if the 65 unit comes out you can always sell the 66 unit later. Tom V.

I did not receive my intake today so i hope to get it Thursday. I feel the intake is over priced but if you want one your going to have to bend over deep to get one. guys,I know Steve went through hell trying to get this intake too market.I hope he is making $400 on each one.Why dont anyone that think its a rip,try to build them.Stock iron intakes are going for $300 plus these days.Just one more time when someone trys to do something for our hobby and the complaining starts.DONT friggin buy one if you thinks its a rip off.IMHO,Tom

Exactly what Tom S. said. I've been watching this post for months. Who gives a rats a** if someone else gets one a couple of days before you! What difference does it make? They guy took on a big project nobody else would, and at a big risk. He deserves to make a decent profit. The price seems pretty fair to me. Unless there is a problem with the product when you get it, everyone should be happy to have this product brought to market!

If the product fits PERFECTLY then I will post an
apology on this board. You buy a Edelbrock intake and 99% of the time it fits PERFECTLY. By the way it costs less than this intake in either dual quad or high perf Victor configuration. Just because you make something that looks like a stock piece does not mean that you can bend people over. Chris is basically making very little on the intakes vs this guy. What irritates me is everyone talks about this guys legal issues, mismachining, etc. If the guy wasn't knowledgable enough to know how to get the work done properly he should not have taken on the task. Asking me to pay for his legal costs and errors in judgement to get the thing fixed after he made a bad decision in the first place is what grinds my butt. This is twice that this BS has happened. The first time with the block. Same deal there. You buy something that should be right, have to spend a thousand dollors to fix the F-ups and then you still have a piece that is not right. I hope the IA2 guys and Kauffmans do a much better job on the new blocks and the heads. I wrote originally that I had customers who needed the intakes a year ago in March. You think those people hung around for a year because this guy could not make the dates? I know everyone says this guy is a GREAT GUY, fine but I wind up being a year late do I charge MORE for my carb jobs? I have to take money OFF. Just my opinion. I am transfering my carbs and linkage over today, and going to test mount it to see if fits well. It looks Identical to stock cast unit. But we'll see.

I got mine today.
The packing s*cked. Shoehorned into a box. No wrapping of any kind.  I am happy to have one. I am happy someone made these for us. I am happy Chris helped as much as he could. I Hope he makes alot of money off these. I hope to see these flow numbers from the testing and look forward to hearing about the quality and fit. I am not happy when people complain about a new product on the market. Don't like it, Don't buy it. Buy an old one and refurbish it or make a new one yourself. Happy Tri-powering everybody......

According to the info I saw a short time ago any
person buying a 66 tri-power from this guy also received an aluminum water neck. I ordered three intakes, got three intakes, and no aluminum water necks. My customers are PI$$ed. Where are the aluminum waternecks? Or is this another deal where even though they were "drop shipped" directly from the guy, "we" don't qualify because we bought them from Chris at PY? A good friend and I flowed the intakes today and the intakes are no better or worse than a stock 66 cast iron intake (3 samples tested). Guess the benefit is the weight and the aluminum "cool" look. Other benefit is that IF you wanted to increase the flow you could cut holes in the bottom and have someone like Brezinski "Hop up" the runner flows and then weld the access holes shut and hide the work.
