Can any of you guys tell me the difference between Rodney Red and BeCool radiators? Price and quality?
I have a side job coming up in a couple of weeks and I'll be able to order my new Rad. In trying to get the most out of spending some $500.00 we measured a friends 79 T/A rad and it has about 15 more inches of core than I have with my current set up, but since I'm relocating it further forward I will have to lean the top back about 3 inches for hood clearance. I have electric fans so that's no prob. I was just concerned about the airflow across the fins. Also does Rodney Red stock the T/A radiator and If I need to have the inlet and outlet tubes aimed up a little as the result of having to lean the rad, can they do that for me?

Super, I'd highly recommend the Rodney Red. I'm running one in my 67 Lemans and am very happy. They make them for TA's and Firebirds also. You can even have them modified a little. On my Lemans rad I had them weld the filler spout on with the overflow pointing at 1 o'clock towards the passenger side for a quick trip to the overflow can. I'm running a 180* T stat and even when I whip on her a little it barely breaks 200*. I'll use a Rodney in my Firebird project. Wouldn't think of using anything else. Pricey, yes but they do the job! By the way, loved your 66 goat on the History Channel!

One more thing. I know 2 guys that used the Be Cool and both of them ended up adding electric fans.

I priced a Be Cool it was more expensive then a Rodney Red. I live in canada and was buying the Be Cool up here. Even with the exchange and shipping the Rodney Red was a better buy. I am also very pleased with workmanship and performance of the Rodney Red. I recommend it highly.

Blackfoot, is that an overflow can in the picture...looks good!! Can I ask who makes it and how you installed. I have an RR as well and looking for overflow can.....
As fas as BeCool or Rodney Red. Based on extensive research before I buy anthing, I bought the Rodney Red. I am VERY happy. I run a 462 stroker and it keeps my engine nice and cool.... Thanks Brad

Brad, thats a Moroso. It comes with a mounting flange thats pretty self explanatory. If you've got a 462 you'll be able to figure it out. I bought it from Summit cause PY doesn't carry it.
