It is probably still just a "heat soak" problem.
My suggestion: get a hi-torque mini statrter. If you are concerned about originality, do the following: 1. Get a re-built AC Delco starter with heavier windings (PY has them), along with a solenoid with a heavier spring. 2. Get a therma tec wrap for the starter. The bolt on heat shield doesn't cut it. 3. Get heavier battery cables. These are typical symptoms of hot start problems. |
