A lot of people say they can't even get 235s to fit up front so you're probably stuck there. You can always go larger in the back. I have 265/50R15 out back of my 69 bird and they just fit inside the well and are just ever so slightly taller than the front tires at 215/60R15. I'm using an 8" w/4.75" backspace rim.
