My old 670 heads have 2.11/1.77. My new E-heads have 2.11/1.66. What is the advantage of the smaller exhaust valve size?

Better intake to exhaust flow ratio. Apparantly the E-head, like my Wenzler High Ports (2.15/1.65) flow too well on the exhaust side compared to the intake.

Im not sure...but every single article ive read on the Eheads say that they need to flow more on the exhaust....they flow almost 100 more cfm on the intake than exhaust...if I could id bump the 185 exhaust cfm to about 210 cfm.

Depends on application.
And you need to watch out for too much exh. flow for your cam profile too. The E-head 1.66 flows as good as the iron head 1.77 because of a better port design. Same deal as why the 2.11 port flows better then the stock iron head 2.11. It's all about design. ************************************************** *************************** Owner of......The Quickest Pontiac Powered "REAL" Street car on the PLANET!!!!Will Race for Food.
