I've seen the Firebird script before in the mid 2nd gen t/a's but I just havn't had any luck finding re productions of it.
Unfortunately I have scoured all the junkyards locally for stuff from 2nd gen Firebirds.... All the wire looms are either broken, like mine, or missing. I'll keep looking though.
Rodent habitat,
Thats sweet you have one of these. Buccaneer Red is a great color, I've never seen Stellar Blue 455 car though....
Anyhow to answer your question on the Trans/Am decal and Emblem. Yes the Nose "Bird" is original, and no longer has any red (Faded) I just installed a new repro 2 nights ago.
The Decal though can be a mystery and I'm not even sure I know exactly how they went from 74-76. My understanding is this: 1974 models did not have the decal weather the large hood bird was ordered or not. 1975 models didn't have the decal if the WW7 large hood bird was left off the option list and when WW7 was ordered, the decal was placed on the front grill. In 1976 I don't think it mattered, I think they all had the front decal but I've never seen a '76 without the WW7 option so I'm not sure on that one.
Also, there are not suppose to be any emblems on the c-pillar, this did not come out until the 1976 model.
