Started the 464 last nite. Have an issue or two to work out, but by New Years Ill be puttin to work and back in it. Still lots to do, but being able to start it and drive it sure makes a difference.
Somewhat stock appearing. |

What did it take to get those Rear tires to fit. I have a 70 that I am doing a frame off restification on and I love the way your car looks from the rear.

I've sent many a minute looking at your car Tom. What your car does is add another definition to the word"HUMBLER". It truly is a fantastic looking car.

Nice looking car. What size and make are those tires? Do you have any pics from the side?

To answer a few ??'s. Rear tires are 345/35X18's on 18X12 rims. To get them completely inside the wheelwell took a 2.5" mini tub (and on a 70 GTO means moving the frame rails in 2.5"). The wheels were custom made and the rearend was narrowed to place each tire exactly where it needed to be. The look, stance, etc is a result of a whole bunch of trial and error work. Some on paper, some on a CAD system and some real time. Ive driven the guy who does all my custom fabrication a little crazy along the way, but he likes what he sees too. First time Ive ever gone this far with a car.

OK, heres a side shot after the electric mirror and glass nose pre install. The factory nose, with brackets was >90#. We used a plasma cutter to lighten the brackets to hold the glass nose on. Saved ~70#.
Still have work to do to the front suspension. Its still about an inch to high. |

"Dat bitch got a niiiiiice booty!"
Congrats! Very jealous! Tom would you be able to post a more side on shot? I'm trying to show some people over in Australia where my HQ holden came from. They dont believe it was designed off a 70 Pontiac. So I want to show the similarities in body lines & door glass + 1/4 glass. Kris
