Got in the first of the shipment of All Pontiac IA 2 Blocks.
Good looking piece over the one I saw at VMP. Not that there was anything wrong with that block. But do like the improvements made.
Screw-in freeze plugs.
Modified lifter valley.
Solid deck so I can put the water passages where I need them for street/strip use.
And more.

I like the changes Bob & Frank made. Two thumbs up.

I will be posting pics of the "New & Improved" IA 2 block later this evening.

Time to get busy building the "THE DUDE" 511 ci.in. Street/Strip/Race engines so my customers can go have fun.

I would post pics of 'the assembly' of a 511 cu.in. Pontiac crate Engine, but it's already been done. LOL

BTW: Hey Bob. Ya forgot to include the screw-in freeze plugs in the crate. LOL.

Way cool on the changes to the block and the fact that they are sending some out to people.

They shipped on Tuesday. If you need a pro number, call the shop or my cell. One ship to NC. also. I also burn the trans. in the truck too. I don't know what I am going to do now. Jeff V. is in the process of putting the pistons in his block right now. He said that he will make it. I call him and offered my motor. I will work on it to night and let you all know what I will do.

in that case, take today off of work, get your broke sh!t to the trans shop, and sit there until it's fixed.

then take tomorrow off of work so you have plenty of time to put it back in the car and have a beer before you go to the grove.

I agree with ya Ray-after blowing it up in LA during qualifying Paul (TTS) put mine together in his sleep and I put the thing in the car in less than 45min with enough time to wash my hands before 1st round. You got plenty of time Bob you could even go to the lake for a day-

Just spoke with Bob a little while ago. He borrowed a converter, and got it back together. He will be trying it out tomorrow and making sure it works. If so, he will be going to VMP friday night for a few test runs before Maple Grove. If not, he will be swapping transmissions as well.....right Bob????
Brian-
I am sure the car will take it, I just hope he has a new set of sneakers to put on that thing...

Jeff,

Do you need some help? I can give you a target and stay in front of you in case you get lost going down the track. You can follow me.

I took Franks torque conveter out of his car. He was out of town. I will be there. The truck is fixed too. Trans in the truck went in to limp home mode. Dealer reset it.
