My 77 GP has intermittent wipers, but the washer pump does not work. I bought a replacement pump without intermittent wipers and it will not fit/work. There are several soldered connections on the old motor but no place to put them on the new motor. I started to remove the old motor and the whole unit comes off including a small cannister below the wiper unit. is this a one piece unit, or is there a replacement unit that will bolt on. Thanks for any help.

The washer pump is a separate part, although attached to your wiper motor. There are 3 or 4 screws 1/4 or 7mm you have to remove them then washer pump is free for removal.

I have removed the cover and exposed the four screws, removed them, does the pump need to be pried out? The pump will move bit doesn't seem to want to come out.

It could be frozen. When i replaced mine on the Olds it just came off with no prying or tapping around the outside edge.
